Naked Palettes!

Last night I was surprised by my husband to make a trip to Ulta and what girl who loves makeup going to say no. Early in the day I had sent him a link for a palette from Urban Decay that was on sale. That is what lead stuff to Ulta to begin with. Once we got there they didn't have it anymore and it was one of those moment that my heart drops and I shouldn't have waited so long to break down and get it. Once I said it wasn't there anymore he look at me and said well is there something else you want and I questioned him. He let me pick out something that I want as a early birthday gift since his order plans fell though. I was excited because they had the Naked 3 in stock and I could not help myself! I had talked myself into thinking I wasn't getting it and that I didn't need it but, come on if you loved any of the other palettes you know you wanted to get your hands on it! Last night after we got home I was think about the palettes and what I went though getting the others and what would go though someones head looking at the palettes. I was thinking back to when I first bought a palette from them and not knowing if I was going to love it or not.

I did not buy the first Naked palette I started getting into Urban Decay when the Basics palette came out and I am glad I got this one first. It was an opening into the company and it wasn't a break the bank palette and for a person starting into higher end makeup this was a great start for me. I used the crap out of this palette but it doesn't seem to look like it. The colors Naked 2 and Faint I love out of this palette and they make great crease colors for me. After loving this I started looking into Naked 1 and 2.

(Yes that is a cat in the mirror. she likes to get in pictures anyway she can.)

I ended up going with Naked 2! For me I love to play around with warm and cool colors together and the first one was warm and I already had a lot of warm colors in my make up collection and wanted to go with something that was a little different. It makes lots of different looks and what is great about the palettes is you can use and mix them all together. I loved this palette so much that I bought my mom and gave it to her as I love you gift. She loves it and uses it everyday. Some of my favorite colors are half baked which is almost been hit plan on. I like to mix it with chopper to make a great lid color and in the crease I like to use tease and YDK in the outer area.
The new palette I have not used yet because, I wanted to take pictures of it. I think this amazing and beautiful. Just looking at it I get excited about it. I love the rose gold ish tones of this and this can look good in different ways. It all depends on how you use it. Just by looking at it I love how trick looks, along with buzz and nooner is a amazing matte color. Blackheart will look great as a liner. For blue eyes purples and pick can help make them pop so, just playing and working with the palette is going to be the fun part.

I know some people have been talking about how they gave out samples like this with the third palette. I have to kind of agree the others cam with travel sized stuff which was nice to use when traveling. Now do we really buy the palettes for the extra stuff that it comes with. It is nice to get something else along with the palette and it can be still used for travel or whenever I run out of primer and forget to get more it nice to have.
In the end I love the Urban Decay brand and when I want to buy something special for myself or get gifts I am very happy to get from this brand. Also when looking at the palettes I missed the eye liners that go with the palettes!!! I like that idea because I am an eyeliner lover and I really want to get my hands on one or two of them! Just has a heads up!!!

Almay Favs and Misses

One of my favorite brands from the drugstore is Almay. I don't see a lot people take about it or use it but I think it is a great brand. Even though they don't have a lot of stuff in the line they are growing. It has been something that I have been using since I started using make up and will keep on using it.

Starting with their eye shadow trios they make them for each eye color and I think that is a great thing when starting out in makeup. I think when starting it should be easy and learning to do something that looks great with your eyes and makes them pop. I have two of the three or four they have I like the golds and brown one for everyday. It is a very natural eye look. The blue and grey are great for doing a smokey eye. I have blue eyes and this makes a smokey eye look good and pop better then black would.
These are two new concealers from Almay the cream ones are not my favorite. I don't know if it is just me and I am not a fan of cream concealers even though they are good for covering up zip. This also has a brightener in it and I am not a fan of putting creams under my eyes it cakes up and it doesn't look good. The other one has been my new go to and I love this stuff it has stuff in it to help clear up zips on your face and it does a great job.
I also picked up the CC cream. Everyone is coming out with different CC creams and I like this one it doesn't break me out and it has light to medium coverage and it builds with is nice. I have only used it for a week or two so I am still finding out if I like it or not.
So far my favorite think that has come out in the last year has been the lip glosses and this is in an apple a day and it is a great everyday color and it has been great for the holidays. Its red without being weird on my skin thone.
The last two things are the eye liners they are both in a grey color but the one that is still in the package has glitter in it and I thought it was a cool idea to use for a going out look or holiday. These are okay eye liners I have other ones I reach for more then the normal one but it is still a good one.

Makeup Favs of 2013!

Getting back in the game of writing a blog. Hopefully this year wont be as crazy! Starting with my favorite new hair product is Garnier Fructis Style 48hr straight finish hair heat protection. This makes my hair straight and it is hard for my hair to stay that way for more then like two hours. This stuff really works and I love it!
For eyes I have been in love with these two palettes and the Maybelline color tattoo in Barely Branded. I wear the color tattoo everyday. I like to change up my eye look almost daily but these two palettes were used the most though out the year.
For the rest of my eyes I use the Covergirl Clump Crusher and I love using this one first and then use the Maybelline the rocket on top of that to make my eye lashes look nice and full. The two eye liners are Covergirl liquilinenblast and Rimmel waterproof and these have been used everyday since I got them this year. The last thing that has helped with my puff eyes has been the Garnier anit-puff eye roller. Its cold when it touches the skin and helps with my puff eyes.
For my face I loved using these three. To set my foundation I use the L'oreal true match powder and I have hit pan on it and will get another once this is gone. The blush I have been wearing a lot since it came out is the Rockatour blush by Benefit. It is the perfect everyday color. For bronzer I have been loving the Chocolate Soleil Bronzer by Two Faced.
I love this nail combo for fall and into winter. The berry color with the pink rose gold color looks amazing on the nails in the colder seasons.
This is my go to lip color. I love nude colors and this is the perfect one for my skin tone. They are both Revlon then lip stick is in pink cognito and the gloss is pango peach and they look amazing together.
It has been along and crazy year and getting back in the into blogging is the goal for 2014 and keeping up with it!
