Fall Drug Store Makeup

Fall is my favorite time of year! I love the color change and wearing boots and sweaters without having to a heavy jacket over it. It seems to make me happy just sitting outside and reading a book in cooler weather and not sweating. I love winter for the snow but fall is the perfect time of year for me.

Starting with blushes I love Wet n Wild blushes the top one is berry shimmer and the bottom one is mellow wine. This are very pigmented and the berry shimmer takes a light hand when using it in the fall time. Both of these are used almost all fall. I am not that big into blushes yet but I'm getting more into them as I play with different colors and the seasons.
So fall is also football season and this is a fun little palette to have since my husband is a bears fan. Game days are big in our house and going to the games it is fun to play with my makeup. This is the Fergie Desert Festival palette from Wet n Wild.
Theses are two of my favorite palettes for fall they have gold and browns in them and those are great for fall. The are both from Maybelline. The one on the left is Modern Metallic and the other is a new from the eyestudio line and its called Copper Chic. I love wearing warmer colors in the fall and these are two great palettes for that.
I love using this L'oreal infallible in bronzed taupe on my lower lash line. It is something that is really pretty to use on the lower lash line with golden and browns on the eyes.
This is the new Sonia Kashuk neutral shimmer palette. I thought this had great fall and winter colors to use and I have not used it yet but it will get good use this fall. They also have an all matte one as well.
The eyeliners I love to use more then just in the fall are these. I love using browns because with blue eyes it is softer on them. The purple I think is fun to us with the gold eye shadow and its a different take on wearing fall colors on your eyes.
Moving left to right they are Covergirl liquiline Blast in brown, Rimmel waterproof liner in brown, Revlon Colorstay in blackened brown, Rimmel scandal eye shadow stick in bad girl bronze, Maybelline master duo in bronzed shimmer and Maybelline gel liner in eggplant.
For lips I love berry colors for fall. I think they look better on me over reds. These are some of the ones i love to wear during the fall. The first is Revlon super lustrous in Coralberry this is my go to fall lip color. I love coral and this is what I will wear almost everyday in fall. Next is Rimmel Kate lipstick in 09 it is a dark berry color that is great for end or fall going into winter. Three Revlon lip butters I think are great for fall are Peach parfait, Berry Smoothie and Red Velvet. I love lip butters they are great and easy to wear.
For days when I just want to wear lip gloss or stain I love these to wear. I love Revlon lip products starting with a lip gloss in Orchid it is a pretty color to wear on a lazy makeup day. NYX in Sugar Pie is a great color to put over a lip butter or a lip stick that could use a little more color. For a stain I like to use Rimmel Showoff in celestial. The last two I use during fall are the Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in honey and in smitten. I don't try to have too much lip product because then I feel like I don't use them all.

Makeup of the Week!

I have like many girls have a makeup collection. I have for along time will fill my makeup bag up each week and use those all week to test them and see how much I like them or not. I change out the makeup on Sundays and wear it though till Saturday each week. I will change out some makeup depending on events. This week I tried a lot of new things and I liked almost all of them. To start I love this little makeup bag it is from Target I don't have many makeup bags I have one in each size like x-small, small, medium and large. This is my small one and it does the job.
I have three concealers I use them all but not all in the same way. Under my eyes I use the Covergirl and Olay simplyageless one and it is sad they aren't going to have it anymore. The Sonia Kashuk one is new to my everyday makeup i love that it has a greenish one for red spots and a redish one for the blue spots. I use the light one the medium one looked to dark for me. The last one is a Maybelline one this I use all over my face almost like a foundation. I use a little hand to do this and this is also great for traveling then I am not bringing anything to big with me. I know they make the foundation that goes with it but I like the concealer better.
After I do all my concealers this week I have been setting my face with the ELF translucent matifying powder. It gets the job done but I still love the L'oreal one. I use the ELF golden bronzer to high light my face using the lightest color and then the NYC brozner in Sunny to bronze my face. I have been using The ELF blush in tickled pink. I used a lot of ELF product this week because they are new in my collection and I have been trying to play with the new stuff.
For eyes I got a new eye shadow by Maybelline in copper chic. I love golds in the fall and I like to get the new ones when they come out I try to only get a few new ones I don't want to over do it. Golds in the fall are pretty on the eyes and go with many fall looks. It is my go to fall color. I also have been liking lining my eyes with the eggplant gel liner by Maybelline. I got this to play with before my wedding in October and I though it would be a fun way to put one of my wedding colors in to my makeup look without being over board with the purples.
I have been wearing three mascaras lately. I use the flamed out by Covergirl first to hold my curl in my eyelashes. I am not a big fan of it but it gets the job done. The I use the clump crusher and last the rocket. I love the look the clump crusher and the rocket my eyelashes look.
For nails this week I have been using the Always Autumn by Covergirl. I change the nail color almost every week and I find I don't hate nail polish and I don't pay a color I wouldn't want to wear.

ELF Makeup

My friend and I were talking the other day while at Target our favorite place to shop. As we walked through the makeup and we were just looking around and we found the ELF makeup and I love the candid coral blush. I was my first ever blush. My friend had never tried any of the ELF makeup before and we thought it would be fun to get some and try it. I didn't go to crazy and I plan to try other things later but I picked up somethings that I though would be fun to play with. All ELF make can be anywhere from a dollar to six which is a good deal!

The first are the brushes I liked them all but the white handle face brush. It just didn't feel great on my face and kind of hurt a little bit. The others are nice and soft and use almost everyday. I don't have lots of brushes I like to have ones I am going to use everyday but not to have many that are just don't get used. It make since to me to have just what I need and not over do it.
I thought this was a cool idea to have the liner and shadow in one. I have only used it once and I like it but since I have blue eyes I don't like to use to much black around my eyes. It is okay I wish they had other colors I didn't check online yet to see if they had more colors but this is all I saw that day at Target.
The eyelid primer I is a good primer for a dollar I use this almost everyday under my color tattoo and it helps last on my eyelids longer. Depending on the season my eyelids can be oily during the summer they are more oily then in the winter. I sure some people have this happen to them as well and adjust to the season.
I love natural eye palettes! ELF had this for six dollars and every so often Target will have like gift sets they just had one for summer and they will have one when it gets closer to winter. I do really like this but some days I look at it and have no idea what I want to do with it and go and get a trio or a smaller palette. This has been great to have to mix with my other palettes to make a wedding look for October.
I have heard and read people love the blush and bronzer palette and I thought it would be fun to try out. The bronzer is dark for me but I can use it in the summer time because I am tanner. I love the blush and it is great for traveling so I have the two in one deal. The other is the golden bronzer and I love to either mix them all together and use as a high light or just taking the lightest color as use it the same way. The golden bronzer is really simmer and for me is to much to wear as a bronzer everyday but it is great as a high light.
I love using translucent powders though out the day if I get oily and I love this one because of the mirror. It is a big mirror and I like to put it in my purse. I don't mind putting this one into any purse because if it breaks I can run out and get a new one for three dollars. I have had it happen and I hate when something breaks to the point it is easier to go get a new one but I hate when I have to spend money but, its so cheap I really don't mind.
I got two more blushes to go with my candid coral one and it is the one that has the word elf gone and I use it a lot. I have some and when I don't know which one I want to use I go to that one because it is a great everyday blush. The other ones are the tickled pink and the fuchsia fusion. Tickled pink is another great everyday color and the fuchsia is a fun summer color that got some wear. Playing with colors I wouldn't use all the time is something new I am trying out. So far it is has been fun playing outside of my box and I plan to share that soon.

My Summer Makeup Look

I grew up in a house where my mom didn't wear a lot of makeup and I didn't learn how to start doing more makeup then just a little eye shadow up till I was 20 years old. Trying to find a everyday look that makes my blue eyes pop is hard. I watch YouTube videos and look stuff up online all the time. I am still trying to find my perfect look but I am getting closer then I was about a few years ago.

My everyday make look starts with my BB cream. It is summer and I don't want anything heavy on my face. I have just started using the BB cream by Physicians formula. I fine it easier to use a brush with this, because it makes it feels easier to put it on and blended into the skin.
After this comes concealer I use two one for under my eyes to help remove the darkness and another to cover up my red spots on my faces.

I like to set this with a powder after because it helps it stay all day and set nicer on the face. I love the powder I use and I keep going back to it and haven't found anything better for me.
I love using the NYC bronzer in sunny it is great for my skin tone and Wet n Wild blushes are the best I have tried but, I am not a big blush person so I don't have very many.
For my eyes I like to start with a color tattoo these help make the shadow stay in place on my eyes. The eye shadow is from Avon i got a long time ago and they don't have it anymore that I know of but I love the gold color in this it is very natural and looks good with my blue eyes.
For liner I change that daily depening on what I am feeling that day. Today is a Covergirl one I like it but I love using different eyeliners.
I like to mix these two together I start with the Covergirl and put that on both the top and the both lashes and then put the rocket on the top lashes it gives them lots of volume and I like how it looks. They are both in the color brownies black.
Since it was still feeling like summer I like to use just a lip gloss and this is my favorite one from NYX it is beige and it is just a pretty pink color that is great for summer and spring.
After it is all on my face I don't like to go to crazy with summer makeup as much as I do in the fall and winter.
